What Keeps This 93-Year-Old Healthy?


What is the secret to living a very long life? There are several theories out there, and genetics certainly play a factor, but one 93-year-old worker attributes his longevity to all the exercise he does.

The man, Jessie Waddles, works at the airport in Albuquerque, NM. His job is to push people in wheelchairs around the airport. He’s been doing the job for about 18 years. 18 years of pushing people around all day!

He tries to keep his age a secret so that the people he’s assisting don’t feel bad, but he loves his job and refuses to retire. He says that he has lived as long as he has because he pushes people and lifts bags all day at the airport.

Another secret he says is his diet. “I eat well, I eat greens and cornbread and I like eggs and bacon.” This may seem like a fatty meal but with all the work he does at the airport it may make up for it!
