Health and Fitness FAQ’s

(Q) Do I need equipment?

I recommend anything from a yoga mat, dumbbells, kettlebell, medicine ball, gorilla bow, ab wheel, or jump rope. Once we complete your consultation, and I have a better understanding of your goals, I’ll give my recommendations to suit your needs.

(Q) What does a workout session consist of?

Each session is 60 minutes consisting of a warm-up, active stretching and functional strength, and conditioning movements. 

(Q) Can I just workout with you or just work with you for lifestyle coaching?

Because I am so passionate about helping my clients in all aspects of life I only work with those that are 100% committed to improving in all areas of fitness, diet/lifestyle, and mental strength. 

(Q) I hate dieting so what’s your solution?

I help you discover all forms of balanced, healthy eating that range from gluten-free, paleo, keto, or plant-based.  My goal is to help you to understand the concept that “food is medicine” with a focus on the quality of all ingredients that you consume on a daily basis. Nothing is “one size fits all” so through our work together we will find the lifestyle approach that best suits you.

(Q) Do I need to eat all organic/non-GMO foods?

Eating real food is key in assisting the body to find complete balance. Most conventional produce and animal products are loaded with pesticides, antibiotics, and hormones.  Minimizing exposure to these inflammatory components is extremely important in an approach to a vibrant life. Depending on where you live you can find access to certified organic foods or locally grown foods that use no toxic sprays, antibiotics, hormones, or GMOs.

(Q) I eat out all the time because I have no time to cook so how will I achieve my goals?

You can send me menus to all of your favorite places and I’ll help you formulate all of the best options.  There are also great home delivery services that we can explore together as well.

(Q) What is intermittent fasting?

The ancient Greek physician Hippocrates advocated it for treating certain ailments, believing a fast helped the body heal itself. Intermittent fasting also referred to as time-restricted eating, is about narrowing the time window in which you eat, narrowing your waistline, assist in hormone production, anti-aging (autophagy), burn body fat, improve sleep, increase focus, and reduce inflammation.

(Q) What are the benefits of cold showers, ice baths, cryotherapy, or cold lake plunges?

Exposure to cold temperatures has been shown to provide a multitude of benefits.  Science shows that it can fight depression, increase the body’s metabolic rate to assist in burning body fat, boost the immune system, reduce inflammation, improve sleep,  boost mental clarity, discipline the mind, and improve hormone production.  

(Q) What are the benefits of deep breathing techniques?

Deep breathing (sometimes called Diaphragmatic Breathing) is a practice that enables more air to flow into your body and can help calm your nerves, reducing stress and anxiety. 

(Q) What kind of electronic device do I need for our sessions?

Any device that has the ability to use Zoom, WhatsApp or Signal will work. 

(Q) How am I billed

All payments are made via Zelle or PayPal. I do not keep a credit card on file.  You send payments as per agreement.
